2025

Meeting Valérie Dréville was the brainchild of Hortense Archambault, who loves nothing more than breaking down barriers between arts and practices. She encourages a natural flow of ideas and exchanges between directors/choreographers and actors/dancers. That’s how she got the strong idea for this meeting. The first time I saw Valérie Dréville on stage, it became clear that I was on a similar quest.

As a result, we were able to set up a week-long laboratory very quickly, which only confirmed the need for this meeting, so naturally did our worlds harmonise and our sensibilities vibrate in unison.

For me, the stage is a place of great communion. At that first meeting, I felt the urge to share the stage with another performer, to tune our beings to achieve a higher communion, a rare but essential act that allows us to regain a little of our humanity. That’s how this duo project came about, in the most beautiful way, you might say.
